Elizabeth Humes is a Washington State Licensed Mental Health Counselor. She graduated Magna Cum Laude from Faith Evangelical Seminary, in Christian Counseling. She majored in Religion and Ballet for her Bachelor of Arts from Southern Methodist University in Dallas, TX/Faith Evangelical Seminary in Tacoma, WA. In addition, she is a Certified Eating Disorder Specialist and a Lifespan Integration Therapist.
Elizabeth’s heart in counseling is for healthy minds, bodies and spirits. She understands that all three work together in creating a vital life for each person. She believes that Individual health will support successful marriages! She loves to work with couples and encourages new ways of communicating with deeper understanding regarding family of origin issues. She uses “How We Love” attachment styles and Lifespan Integration therapy for individual work. She has seen great success with couples and individuals.
Another passion of hers is Eating Disorders. She is a Certified Eating Disorder Specialist and works with individuals who suffer from eating disorders of all kinds. She works with the parents in understanding this problem and creates a team of professionals to bring healing and balance. Lifespan Integration is a very successful modality for Eating Disorder clients and all others clients who suffer with depression, anxiety, addictions, Bi-Polar, OCD, ADHD and trauma/loss.
Elizabeth uses a psychodynamic approach with Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, in a coaching-style manner with a bit of humor. In addition to her degree, Elizabeth has received training thru the Meier New Life Clinic, Lay-Counseling at Chapel Hill Church, Living Free seminars and completed her internship at Comprehensive Live Resources in Tacoma. She spent four years working with the women in Purdy for addictions and trauma.
Fees: Initial intake for 1.5 hours = $140.00. 1 hour session = $110.00. Insurance Companies: Kaiser, Regence; She works with most other insurances out of network.
