Sheri A. Lane, LMFT is a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist with a Masterís degree in Marriage and Family Therapy from Pacific Lutheran University in Tacoma and a Bachelorís degree from the University of Washington in Seattle.
Sheri is passionate about relationships and is committed to helping individuals, couples, and families reach their greatest potential. Sheriís expertise include working with couples and families on communication issues, conflict management, and life transition issues. Sheri also has expertise working with individuals on issues such as depression, anxiety, stress management, grief, and body image.
As a Marriage and Family Therapist, Sheri recognizes the role the entire family system plays in what is going on for an individual and how an individual will respond to different situations based on their own experiences in their family of origin. Her approach is influenced by narrative, emotionally focused, and structural family therapy as well as her Christian principles. She expects her clients to actively participate in therapy while she offers them support and guidance as they gain insight on patterns of interaction and discover new ways of being in relationship with others. She believes that all clients want to be their best, but sometimes just need a little help to overcome barriers that get in their way of ultimately reaching their greatest potential.
Sheri specializes in pre-marital counseling, Prepare/Enrich assessments, family counseling, blended family issues, parenting support, communication between teens and their parents, life transitions, depression, anxiety, body image, grief counseling, stress management, and conflict resolution.
Sheri is a certified facilitator of Life Innovations, Incís, Prepare and Enrich Pre-Marital and Marital assessment tool and curriculum. Sheri has also received training in John Gottmanís, Loving Couples, Loving Children curriculum and has worked as a co-facilitator through the Childrenís Home Society working with couples/parents on relationship challenges. Sheri is also a certified Functional Family Therapist and has worked as an FFT therapist with at-risk youth and their parents on relationship issues. Sheri has also been trained in Lifespan Integration.
Sheri is in network with Regence, and can bill all other insurance companies as an out of network provider. Sheri also accepts cash, debit cards, credit cards, and Health Savings Account (HSA) cards for payment.
