E. Katie Bradrick, MA, LMHC is a licensed mental health counselor and in Washington State. She graduated from Central Washington University with a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Psychology and earned her Master of Arts degree in Counseling Psychology from The Seattle School of Theology and Psychology.
Before joining The Shepherd’s Center for Psychological Services, Katie worked as a Clinical Therapist on the Adolescent and Youth Unit at Fairfax Hospital providing individual, group and family therapy as well as extensive Case management and consultation between other therapists, psychiatrists, case managers, schools, and the legal system. Katie has also worked as a Clinical Research Coordinator and Rater at Eastside Therapeutic Resource in Kirkland, Washington providing extensive clinical assessment, diagnosis and therapy for children, adolescents and adults struggling with acute mental health indications including ADHD, Depression, Bipolar Disorder and Schizophrenia.
The theoretical orientations guiding Katie’s therapy include Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Dialectical Behavioral Therapy, Developmental Theory, Motivational Interviewing, Solution – Focused Therapy and Narrative as well as her Christian Principles. Katie has found that there is no “one size fits all” approach to true change. What may work for one person may not work for another, so Katie works in collaboration with each client and family to develop a treatment plan based on their unique, individual needs, desires and strengths.
Katie specializes in the treatment of adolescents but also treats children, young adults, and their families. She is experienced with a variety of struggles and issues that children, adolescents and young adults encounter including Depression, Mood Disorders, ADHD, Trauma, Anxiety, Behavioral issues, Anger management, Parenting, Communication/Conflict resolution, Family relationship issues , Social skills, Self Esteem and Self harming behaviors.
“Counseling is such a unique experience for each person. It can be the one place where one finds the support, encouragement, insight and empowerment to make the changes needed to begin living the kind of life truly desired.”
Katie’s hope is that she can be part of the orchestra of change in your life and help guide you amongst others to leave behind the behaviors and discouragement that keep you “trapped” and into a life that provides more contentment.
