Brittany M Jones MS, LMFT

Brittany M. Jones, MS, LMFT is a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist with a Master’s degree in Marriage and Family Therapy from Seattle Pacific University and a Bachelor’s degree in psychology from Pacific Lutheran University. She has expertise working with families, adolescents and children in diverse settings such as churches, state agencies and in-patient psychiatric hospitals.
Her Approach: As a Marriage and Family Therapist, Brittany enjoys working on the intricate relationships woven between couples and families. As a therapist Brittany integrates the mind, body and spirit in counseling. Her Solution-Focused approach allows her clients to tap into their personal strengths to cope and prevail against pain, trauma and confusion. In her clinical work, Brittany enjoys utilizing techniques to help individuals work through personal and relational struggles; strengthen parent-child relationships and tap into family and individual strengths. She openly invites dialogue around Christianity and spirituality as a vessel to help clients walk through their own journey of faith.
Special Trainings: Brittany also offers Parent-Child Interaction Training (PCIT). This therapy helps establish a parent-child bond, while also practicing an authoritative parenting style. PCIT has been empirically proven to reduce child tantrums and improve the relationship between parent and child. Brittany also is trained to in Trauma-Focused Cognitive Behavior Therapy. This is a step by step process that helps guide people through painful trauma so that they can survive the daily struggles that occur after traumatic events.
