Suzanne Kirsch graduated from Seattle Pacific University in 1999 with her Masters Degree in Marriage and Family Therapy and is licensed with the State of Washington.
She has a special interest in helping people process their experiences of anxiety, trauma, loss and grief. She believes that healing and transformation can be achieved in the aftermath of painful experiences. With the help of reliable, safe and capable support it is possible to discover a new sense of peace, confidence, and gratitude in living.
She also is passionate about working with people struggling with illness issues, Family of Origin issues and relationship issues.
She believes the purpose of therapy is to support people in gaining personal insight, understanding of others’ perspectives, and integrating this information while planning new and improved responses and courses of action. As we are able to discover and express our hidden emotions and create new relational responses we then have the potential to change a distressed and rigid relationship into a more secure, safe and satisfying one.
She believes in a client centered approach to therapy, however, the ways in which she works with you draw upon a number of different theories. Assessing personal resources and strengths, uncovering hidden emotions, exploring belief systems and personal narratives is an important part of the work you will do together.
Her commitment is to devote her full attention to you during the time together and to work with you as supportively, competently, responsibly and professionally as she possibly can. She welcomes feedback and questions at all times.
She can be reached by her 24 hour confidential voicemail: (253) 858-2224, x228
